The website build is a flat rate of $650 AUD / $465 USD. No hidden fees. That includes a custom 3 to 5 page website, mobile responsive design, contact form, domain connection, and one round of revisions.

Only if you choose a hosting plan. The build itself is a one-time cost. If you arrange your own hosting elsewhere, there are no ongoing payments to Built By Her.
You will need to pay for your domain name separately, typically $15 to $30 AUD per year depending on the extension you choose. That is purchased through a domain registrar and is yours to keep regardless of where your site is hosted.
Payment is required upfront before the brief form is sent. The brief form is delivered immediately after payment is confirmed, and the 24-hour preview window starts from when the completed brief is submitted.

There is no lengthy back-and-forth. One brief, one build, one preview, live.
Within 24 hours of receiving your completed brief form, you will be sent a link to a fully designed, working preview of your website. Not a mockup or a screenshot. A real site you can click through and review on your phone or desktop.
The 24-hour window starts from when the brief is submitted, not from when payment is made. So if you take a few days to fill in the brief, that is completely fine. The clock starts when we receive it.
One round of revisions is included in the flat rate. A revision round means you send through a list of changes and they are made in one go.
To make the most of this, review the preview carefully before sending feedback, and consolidate all your changes into one clear list. Small tweaks after launch can be covered by the Peace of Mind hosting package.
The Peace of Mind hosting package at $50 AUD/month includes one round of changes per month plus hosting. This is the easiest option if you anticipate needing updates regularly.
For occasional changes outside of a hosting plan, reach out and we can quote on a per-change basis.
It is a fully custom design built specifically for your business based on your brief. No templates are used. Every site looks different because every brief is different.
The brief asks about your visual preferences and references, so even if you have no existing brand identity, the design will reflect the look and feel you are after.
Photos are not required to get started, but they do make a significant difference to the final result. Real photos of your business or products always outperform stock imagery for trust and authenticity.
If you do not have photos, the Custom Image Generation add-on ($100 AUD) provides 5 on-brand generated images tailored to your business and aesthetic. These are created specifically for your site, not stock images.
The brief asks for reference sites and visual inspiration rather than requiring you to have a fully formed idea. Saving three sites you like the look of, even from completely different industries, gives enough direction to build from.
You do not need to brief the design in detail. That is the job of the designer. Your job is to tell us about your business and point toward the general direction.
The flat rate includes 3 to 5 pages. For most small businesses, that covers home, about, services or work, and contact. Additional pages beyond 5 can be quoted on request.
Yes, completely. You own the domain (purchased separately by you), the files, and all content. Nothing is locked to a proprietary platform. If you ever want to move hosting or make edits yourself, you have everything you need.
Yes. Purchasing and owning your own domain is important because it means the domain is yours regardless of who built your site. We connect it once it is purchased.
We recommend Namecheap or Squarespace Domains for straightforward purchases. A .com domain typically costs $15 to $20 AUD per year. If you are not sure what to buy, mention it in the brief and we can advise.
Hosting and Maintenance: $30 AUD/month. Your site is hosted and kept maintained. Cancel anytime.
Peace of Mind Package: $50 AUD/month. Hosting plus one round of changes per month and direct access to reach us when something needs attention. Ideal if you know your site will need regular updates.
If you prefer to arrange your own hosting, the site files can be provided and hosted elsewhere. Cloudflare Pages is a good free option if you are comfortable with basic setup.
Yes. Both hosting plans are month to month and can be cancelled at any time with no lock-in. If you cancel, your site files are provided so you can host elsewhere if needed.
Yes. Built By Her works with small businesses worldwide. Pricing is listed in both AUD and USD. Payment is processed online so there is no issue with international orders.
Yes. Website copywriting is available as an add-on for $100 AUD. This covers full copy for your site based on your business details and brief answers. If writing is not something you want to handle yourself, add this when enquiring and it will be included in the build.
